CoQ10

Oral ubiquinol and blood oxidative stress in exercise-trained adults

Bloomer RJ, Canale RE, McCarthy CG, Farney TM. Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, 2012.

300 mg/day of ubiquinol (the reduced form of CoQ10) for four weeks raised plasma CoQ10 levels and was evaluated against markers of exercise-induced oxidative stress in a randomized, double-blind, crossover design.

PQQ

PQQ stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis via the SIRT1/PGC-1α pathway

Saihara K, et al. Biochemistry, 2017;56(50):6615–6625.

Cell-culture work showing PQQ exposure increased mitochondrial DNA content and triggered the SIRT1/PGC-1α signaling pathway — the mechanism behind PQQ's role in prompting cells to build new mitochondria rather than just maintain existing ones.

NAD+ / NMN

NMN increased blood NAD+, walking speed, and sleep quality in older adults

GeroScience, 2024;46(5):4671–4688.

A 12-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in older adults: 250 mg/day NMN significantly raised blood NAD+ and its metabolites, and the NMN group showed a shorter 4-metre walking time and improved sleep quality versus placebo.

Magnesium

Magnesium bisglycinate and sleep quality in adults with poor sleep

Schuster J, Cycelskij I, Lopresti A, Hahn A. Nature and Science of Sleep, 2025;17:2027–2040.

A 155-person randomized, placebo-controlled trial: 250 mg/day of magnesium bisglycinate produced a statistically significant, though modest, improvement in insomnia severity scores after four weeks — with larger effects in people who started with lower dietary magnesium intake.
